De Figuranten is a breeding ground for creativity and happily shares it's space with promising creators.Driven by a passion for the arts and curiosity about other creators, we gladly open our studio for artists in need of a workspace or rehearsal space. We look forward to new encounters with other artists.
FOR WHOM?
Artists who need a space to work, experiment, write, reflect, or rehearse.
WHEN?
Two to three weeks from August 18th 2025 to the end of November 2025. Submit your proposal by June 8th, 2025. We will inform you quickly about who has been selected.
DE FIGURANTEN OFFERS:
- Various options for workspaces (studios with wooden floors and a black box with a ballet floor and seating). There is no technician present.
- Kitchen and shower facilities.
- Possibility to ‘camp’ in the building itself (or you can book a B&B nearby).
DF is located a 10-minute walk from the Menen station in a quiet area, close to the border with northern France.
DE FIGURANTEN REQUESTS:
As a return, you will give a public presentation of your work (regardless of the stage of the work in progress) during a Matinee performance.
YOUR PROPOSAL:
Upload your project proposal (1 A4 page), along with your CV and any visual material of the project (photo/video), and indicate your preferred periods.

WOLF WOLFWOLF WOLF of Imke Mol, Naomi van der Horst, Flor Van Severen, Mitch Van Landeghem (KASK Drama), and set designer/light designer Gilles Pollak (RITCS Podiumtechniek, HKU Scenografie). WOLF WOLF works as a collective that creates both performing theater and theater based on well-known repertoire. They previously presented their performance Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at Theater Aan Zee and the TheaterFestival (2019).In May 2022, they worked with us on their performance Voorjaarsontwaken.
